Playa Vik is a collaboration between the creators, Carrie and Alex Vik, and internationally renowned Uruguayan architect Carlos Ott. The avant-garde beachfront retreat features a central “Sculpture” building which is the heart of the compound boasting an important collection of international and contemporary Uruguayan art throughout.
What makes it special: guests of Playa Vik enjoy a remarkable cantilevered pool extending out from the property’s Patagonian ebony terrace and overlooking the beach below. Seventy-five feet long, the Uruguayan Black Absolute Nero granite pool also features a celestial map of the southern hemisphere created by small optic light points set within the pool floor.
